Regional groups function quite differently. Some groups have little regional activity and others hold regular well attended meetings. Some regions have large numbers of members others very few. Regional groups are used as a way of disseminating information to members, with regional representatives feeding back executive committee discussions and decisions to members. Regional representatives are also a voice for regional members in raising matters at Executive Committee level.

BAPA relies on a stream of regional representatives carrying out the executive function of the association some of whom will become office bearers of the association.
